This study analyzed teacher mediation in classrooms at the elementary sublevel and its effects on the learning process; the objective was to determine the influence of teacher mediation in the use of ICT on the teaching–learning process at the elementary sublevel. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 57 students and a 16-item questionnaire on an ordinal scale. The results showed lags in mediation: 61.4% reported the absence of tablet or computer use in class; moreover, 52.6% indicated that the teacher did not demonstrate procedures; in addition, 50.9% noted a lack of accompaniment during device use; likewise, 63.2% did not solve exercises on their own and mediation clustered at low or regular levels with 63.2%. A positive association of small magnitude between mediation and process was identified, with a significance of 0.019, which guided improvement actions centered on sequences of demonstration, guided practice, and feedback, together with basic availability of equipment and time for digital tutoring; in sum, the evidence provided grounds to reorganize the school day and coordinate school–family supports.
